Data protection information obligations regarding the use of the HTW Mediathek in accordance with Art. 13/14 GDPR
Compliance with data protection regulations is a high priority for our university. In the following, we would like to inform you about the collection of your personal data in connection with the use of the HTW Mediathek.

3. Processing of personal data
Purposes of the processing activity:
Provision of audiovisual content (videos, audio, images) by teachers, staff and students to all members of HTW Berlin. The Mediathek is not used to fulfil retention obligations or archiving. Processing only takes place with consent or contractual regulation.

Legal basis of the processing activity
For persons identifiable in image, video and audio recordings or the contribution pages: Art. 6 (1) lit. e GDPR / §3 BlnDSG / §6 (1) numbers 1, 2 and 12 BerlHG.
For the persons who use the Mediathek in the role of employee, furthermore, Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR for the fulfilment of the work obligations of the collective agreement, as well as §26 BDSG in conjunction with Art. 88 GDPR. Art. 88 GDPR.
For persons who use the Mediathek in their role as civil servants, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR in conjunction with §34 of the Civil Servant Status Act for the fulfilment of obligations under civil service law.
Data transfer to a third country
There is no planned transfer to third countries. However, as this is a publicly viewable web application, the data can be accessed worldwide.
Duration of storage
The respective published content and the master data is either deleted by the uploader or deleted at the latest after leaving the service.
The cookie set is a session cookie and is deleted after the end of the respective browser session. All log data is deleted after 90 days.
4. Your rights
You have the right to obtain information from the university about the data stored about you and/or to have incorrectly stored data corrected.
You also have the right to request deletion or restriction of processing or the right to object to processing.
Furthermore, in the case where the legal basis for the processing is your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. The lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent up to the revocation remains unaffected by this. In this case, please contact the following person:

5. Information about your right to object according to Art. 21 Para. 1 GDPR
You have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of data relating to you which is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (e) GDPR (data processing in the public interest).
