Organisations (such as companies, public institutions, and educational organisations) shape everyday professional life through patterns of communication, interaction, and shared meaning-making. Understanding how social dynamics develop in organisational contexts and how communication influences behaviour, relationships, and decisions is essential for navigating contemporary work environments.

Drawing on key theories and models from organisational behaviour, this module explores how organisational realities are continuously constructed through interaction at multiple levels: within organisations as social systems, in groups and teams, and through individual cognitive and emotional processes. Particular attention is paid to how communication practices, informal norms, power relations, and cultural contexts shape behaviour and cooperation.

The module focuses on the following interconnected aspects:

  • Organisational culture, values, and shared meanings
  • Communication processes, perception, motivation, and decision-making
  • Leadership, followership, teamwork, and interaction patterns
  • Organisational change, conflict, and ethical challenges
